Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Entree range

Buffet $63 adults; $35 children ages 3–11. (Prices include gratuity for everyone, and mai tais, wine, and beer for guests age 21 and older.)

This is a fun diversion and a change of scenery from the other restaurants offered on Universal property. Though dinner is a bit expensive, it has the best food of any luau show in the area, and the entertainment is more energetic than Disney's version (though not as authentic as SeaWorld's). A separate children’s buffet keeps kids happy with offerings such as chicken fingers, macaroni, and pizza. Priority Seating will reserve you a table near the front for an extra $7 per adult ($5 per kid), but either way the check-in process can take a while.

Setting and Atmosphere

A typical luau setting with tiki torches and wooden tables. Polynesian dancing, storytelling, hula dancers, live music.

House Specialties

Buffet includes pit-roasted suckling pig with spiced rum-soaked pineapple puree; Pacific catch of the day; Hawaiian chicken teriyaki; fire-grilled beef with mushrooms; chicken fingers, mac and cheese, PB&J, and pizza for kids. Dessert buffet with johnny cakes and pineapple upside-down cake.
